Raven isnt just a random character, hes one of the main characters in "dark angel" (or "Black WIngs") story, which is about Pax and first war against sha'its. Hes one of the 100 persons who could cary first made psy armor due to his physical fitness (first armors were, despite the servo motors, dependent on physical state of the bearer). After most of his company was slaugtered, he fell under Pax's leadership and also fell in love with him (if ya didnt know, raven is quite gay ^^) and followed him on his cursade for wining the leadership in core. Raven was killed by Pax as soon he got the Power over CORE so he could ensure it.
Despite the story, Raven is still alive and avaliable for artwork ^^
