(Also on dA.)
Centaurs are rare, and hard, for me to draw. I've drawn a few back then, but they're mediocre. This character came around when D&D sparked my interest. Maybe I should've drawn cloven hooves.

Virelai is an orphaned young girl who was found taken into Birchwood Monastery when she was but a newborn filly. She was raised by the clergy, accepting them as family. Virelai enjoyed playing with her sisters, but sometimes asks her Mother, a Reverend Cleric, several questions about herself and differences, including her slow growth patterns.
When finally grown into a young woman, Virelai left the monastery as followed in their graduation tradition. She ventured outside White Birch forest and encountered many things, but was able to prevail. Many strange humanoids tried to capture her, saying that she is a rare specie. But they were merely knocked out, not killed, by her fighting finesse, magic and her horn's powers.
Once in a while, Virelai helps weary or injured travelers and received signs of equality, which made her happy. There were cases when her frequent and sensitive modesty kicks in during some encounters with various monsters, including harpies. She had some unwilling verbal conflicts with centaurs due to that Virelai was raised by humans and her religion involving the god Pelor.
Other than being a modest Unitaur, Virelai is a sweet and kind young lady who wants to blend in with the crowd and doesn't stand being taunted by methods used on animals, especially horses. And enjoys human food more than any raw produce.
