A young noble snowleopard journeys into the forest beyond her castle one evening at twilight. Perhaps she is to meet a forbidden lover? Or maybe the stifling life in the castle isn't enough to satisfy her adventurous soul. Either way, she looks well prepared with her sword and loyal steed at her side.
I had a lot of fun with this piece, and I've been wanting to do something with a more intricate background for a while. I love the idea of a young woman seeking adventure, sneaking away from her expectations to follow her dreams. This was sold in the Anthrocon 2012 art show!

this is so creepy @.@ for years I have doodled this EXACT scene in my school sketchbooks and on lined paper in exams and things, horse facing the same way, snow leopardess looking back with castle in the background....im not a creepy stalker or claiming arts been copied or anyhting, Im really not kidding. Its just sooo creepy @.@ its bloody brilliant dont get me wrong, but almost de ja vu in a way
A picture truly speaks a thousand words. The mist on the ground and the nightly air gives an ominous feel doesn't it? The expression on the face doesn't speak really much fright or rebelious (like running away) To me more like "Come on hurry up" Like she is waiting on someone or something.. You can tell there is a bit of uneasyness to it. I would too be a bit uneasy in a mist coverd night never know what is lurking around. ^^
