Hello folks! I am attempting to create an FA Holiday celebrating the biggest baddest villain of them all, BOWSER!

It started as me telling all the friends that normally draw me stuff for my birthday to draw Bowser instead of stuff for me
and then it just sort of exploded, and we decided to turn it into a day
Maybe it's kind of pretentious since it's MY birthday, but usually I hate my birthday (a year closer to death and all that) but now I actually have something to look forward to, and celebrate. Bowser needs a day about him though, there's so many fans of him on this site, we need a day where we all come together.

If Bowser was born on August 6th, that makes him a Leo... which is influenced by the Sun, is a fire sign, and is of the masculine and fixed qualities. Those born under Leo have a tendency to want to take center stage and be in charge of their surroundings... in short, they want to be King or Queen. Think this fits Bowser?

I am sorry for any insensitivity, I assure you that was not a consideration for the choice, it was blatant ignorance and idiocy on my part, it happened because someone offered to draw me a pic of my char on my birthday (August 6th) and I told them to draw Bowser instead, and they got their friends to all draw Bowser and it turned into a whole thing. It has been changed though, and again I am sorry.

What the actual fuck... You should make it a 2 day or even a 4 day event!
I was thinking about Bowser today, thinking I could TRY and draw him and I searched him on FA to see some cool Bowser pictures and I see this and I'm like *YAYYYYY!* Oh... Augest 6th! -Checks date- Augest 7th.... ;_; I can't wait until next year to take part in such an awesome thought up day to celebrate the coolest villain ever! :(
This could possibly even be a "one day every month" kinda thing to really get ample supplies of Bowser fan art!

ACTUALLY it's on August 4th
Okay here's how the day came about,
usually a couple friends draw me a picture for my birthday regardless of how much I try to talk them out of it,
so I've just accepted it (I try to get them back on their birthdays too)
and 3 years ago I said HEY why don't you guys just draw Bowser instead
and they started posting journals saying I wanted Bowser art
and a lot of people seemed into it
So I was like HEY Bowser is huge in the fandom, why don't we just make a BOWSER DAY
So originally it was on August 6th, which is my birthday
but some people claimed it was selfish of me to have it on my birthday, and that it was arbitrary, and they suggested it would be better to be on August 4th, as in 8-4 in the first Mario game when you first meet the REAL Bowser
So now it is on August 4th, the last two years anyways. And this year over 130 artists participated!!!!!!! and hundreds of fans. It may as well be a week long though since all of the confusion over the dates.
I don't think making it one day every month would be good because it would lose it's 'specialness' and a lot of artists don't have time to make art for a special occasion that comes up every month, so I think it's nice happening once a year. But if you want it to be once a month you can go ahead and try to make it happen, at the time 'I' made Bowser Day I had like no watchers but it still blew up.

Yep! Over 160 Different Artists made work for it!!!! It was such a good day, artists had fun, artists made money because it opened up a new revenue stream for them, fans had fun, connections were made, it was a blast.
