I wondered what it would look like if Fran was human. Turns out, it's a bit like this. :)
I think I actually missed the mark a bit with Fran on this one - she doesn't quite seem to look just right. I think it's the lack of those huge bunny ears. Part of it might also be the choice of footwear, I think she'd probably wear some sneakers or those Ugg boots.
Fran's mother Fern, on the other hand, is pretty much exactly right as far as I can tell.

OMG I'd considered that she'd have siblings but didn't even think of a name like that! :D
I may play about with drawing some more of my characters as humans (those that aren't already, that is). I've done it before, but I think now I'd actually be able to to them justice.

Oh yeah, I figured out the reason for her dress sense. She wears the large sweaters to keep mostly covered, but the skirts come from the fact that she finds it very difficult to find jeans that fit both her waist AND hips. As a result, it's just easier to wear skirts.
As for why they're so short, however... well we can just look back at the pun in her name.

I'd considered that, but I've actually drawn her in human form with longer hair a few years back. Something about it just didn't seem at all right, but it may be because it was in ponytails to emulate the ears.
I figured this time I'd try and keep it a bit more true to her design.
