Oh man you never know! What if she's working for the police undercover as a VLF agent who is pretending to be a cop so as to infiltrate the VLF's police rehab wing for the segment of the force that is unaware of this little "program" of the VLF's? Or even worse, what if she's a member of the Illuminati, or some random alphabet soup intelligence agency, acting as a triple agent working to undermine the VLF AND the (insert name of desert city) police force?!?!??!?! Maybe she's really an alien, hell bent on taking over the planet and enslaving all fertile women like a bad 50's B-movie? Maybe the Queen of England really IS a shape-shifting reptilian alien! Maybe David Icke was right!!!!! Maybe Nibiru is REAL!!!!!!

Thanks! I try and put a little more effort into her face, as she's meant to be a little more complicated than the other characters in this thing. I try and focus mostly on the faces of the characters, as that can convey more information about them than full body shots.

Thanks, tying in both of those sides of the police is exactly what I'm trying to do here. ;)
It's true, I mean, there are some fucked up people out there who shouldn't be in public, and it does take a certain kind of person to have to deal with that on a regular basis. However, it takes an even stronger person to have that kind of job, and not to let it turn them into a psycho.
But you're right, and anyone who has ever been "in the system" will be the first to tell you that the vast majority of people you meet in jail are in on a victimless minor drug offense, have some form of mental illness that they should be treated for, rather than locked up, or simply made a bad decision or mistake. Or were wrongfully arrested, like a friend of mine recently. Of course, there are always the gangbangers, murderers, and rapists too, who should be there.
But at the end of the day, the police aren't there to serve and protect the people, just the interests of the real scumbags who run things. Mostly though, they are just armed extortionists on the payroll of the city/county/state who are out to collect fines for their jurisdictions, and possibly tase and/or kill you if you don't comply. They're just the biggest street gang in town, running a racket for the largest organized crime syndicate around, i.e. your local, state and federal governments.
Of course, not ALL cops are bad people, but there are way too many of them that are for my comfort. But instead of just being all FTP in my comic, I'm going to try and work both sides as much as possible. The whole point I'm going for is that ANY organization that uses deadly force, torture, or "brainwashing" to coerce, manipulate, enslave, etc. a person or group of people is wrong, no matter if you're a cop, soldier, leftist revolutionary, gangster, or terrorist. All of these types of people are the same, despite the different costumes that they wear, and NONE of them are ever to be trusted (or in my opinion, tolerated).
