Honestly, I used to have one a long time ago and it was near-impossible to get used to (returned it and used the money to get my first bass :D). But now it feels almost natural, and at some times a little easier. Like the coloring, it feels so much smoother. The result even looks a lot like my old traditional style, so I didn't lose any quality either.
So yeah, I kind of dig it a lot :)

Oh, I know I keep hyping other programs at you (sorry if it gets a little annoying), but have you ever tried using SAI? I was just thinking that, since you mention the traditional style and whatnot, with SAI, you can have a really "traditional" look (like this). If you were to draw and colour your pictures in SAI and then do all of your effects and textures in Photoshop, you could have, instead of a really cool style, it might make it look even more badass. Sorry if that's a little ramble-y, I'm a little bran dead right now. lol
I love it so much. lol It actually use a different programming than Photoshop in that, in Photoshop, as I'd sure you've noticed, if you draw a line really fast, you can see that it's just a row of circles. Whereas in SAI, they're actual lines, so the lines themselves are a lot smoother and whatnot. :)
Seriously, man, I'd love to see what all you can do in SAI.
Actually, when you put your textures in, what layer effects do you use? Like, overlay or luminosity or whatever? Because SAI has a few of those layer effects as well. Not nearly as many as Photoshop, but it does have a few. :)

Hah yeah that's why I tend to lean towards Photoshop, because of the more abundant layer options.
Usually I use Overlay or Soft Light. But it really depends on what the layer is designed to do. Sometimes, I want a more faded look, so I'll take a texture and set it to Saturation like 20% or so. But for lighting, the first two mentioned are my go-to's.

Oh my gosh! You finally got a tablet! Sweet! No wonder your art has been looking a little different lately. It's subtle.
The orange hues and themes of this afternoon nap makes me want to fall asleep too. The effects are particularly effective with the gradient coloring on the hair. Hmm... and I don't know if I just picked this up, but I like the line work indicating the knees and form of the patella bones. I don't know, it is memorable for me. Gosh I am weird.
Nice work!

Yeahh man! The tablet is awesome, and it's definitely opened my skill set up to some new techniques, namely lighting and shading. I'm also glad the cozines of the colors is taking effect :)
As for the knee linework, I'm sure I've done it before, but probably not as obvious as in this piece right here. Seems fitting though, huh? :P
