Galileo "Lyle" Marianas
Child of the Eastern Sea
Hydromancer
8'
600lbs.
Born on the small far-oceanic island on Marianas, he knew little of the world beyond the surrounding waters. However, when his parents passed he and his older sister Deborah went out on a sea-faring ship to explore the mainland. After many years Lyle learned the ways of an acolyte to keep his warrior sister alive, but time came when he wasn't able to bring her save from her most gruesome fight. From that point on he took up her sword and dedicated himself to the life of a priest, so that never again would he fail a loved-one. (Unnaturally large, housing a demon, you know the rest of the story)
His sword remains sheathed and tied to his belt, preferring to fight with his fists and martial arts. Despite his size, he has, with the help of Eli, learned to change his density and thus his weight, allowing him to drift through the air as if it were water.
I've drawn him a number of times, so here he is again, and yes, that's a cuddle-fish floating above his right shoulder; it is, in fact, the Kraken demon that takes residence as his digestive system, incorporeally represented as the friendly Mr. Cracker that only Lyle can see. Although he comes from the Eastern Sea, his training took place in the Highlands, thus he dons a kilt and muffler. Interesting enough, "Lyle" is derived from the French term "l'isle", meaning "from the island".
