If you look close enough, enlarging the image helps too, you can see the small laser ports that would cut the round when actiaveted, you can also see in the background the 'off' versions closed rails.
What I failed to mention in the WIP and in the previous image, though the magazine is large due to the large casing holding the nail/rivet you get maybe 60-70ish rounds and it fires whenever the trigger is pulled, however continous fire will not result from holding down the trigger.
I'm half tempted to mount these on one of my helicopters.

See above, less shotgun, more flak. Flak has to be more regular in the dispersal pattern. The projectiles are more parallel than anything. The cutterbeams make more projectiles, more surface area. And by heating them already, they receive even MORE energy to be transmitted on impact. Also, you do know your science. WILSON THE VOLLEYBALL IS IMPRESSED>
No, forget the spinning barrels. 1/2 size Mk. 19. The Mk. 19 is a fully automatic belt fed 40mm grenade launcher. It can be carried by one man but must be set up on a small tripod. Used in desert storm and by some police forces with lethal and non lethal ammo from tear gas to high explosives.
The airframe of the drones is basically a scaled down version of the F-117 Nighthawk, with an even smaller surface from lack of pilot canopy, etc. When being tracked, they launch thermal flares that would make quite a bit of racket, then they cut their engines and dive for the deck. Even Acoustic tracking would have quite a few problems nailing these drones. And I happened to like that tank
WWI, acoustic DETECTION, not TRACKING. Also, these drone are being developed by the United States, they already have it landing on Aircraft Carriers running at full ahead. Oh, and-

200 meters? Please. It currently takes an entire BUILDING to power a single tesla coil that can fire TEN meter bolts. It takes a WAREHOUSE just to store the energy for a single 70 Meter SHOT. Not only that, path of least electrical resistance is straight down. So unless you decide to poke me with it, I think I'm okay. Oh, and this sword is also a bigass gun. Ever hear of a 70mm? Neither did I. SO I BUILT IT! :D
That's what's fun about these swords! They're REALLY DAMN EASY TO MAKE. *Grabs another one and loads* It's just a giant blade with a reinforced tube (The barrel) for the spine. The grips are tricky, but not TOO hard to machine. And Thermite? Please. Depleted Uranium shells!
Right now it's in about the same state as your ship... A glorious image in the mind that is note truly done justice by the picture the computer gives you. Right now I'm trying to model it in 3D so I can have the frame components manufactured by a rapid-prototype machine. If it breaks, they have the schematics on file and they can machine off another part. Add some cushioning for the inner components and the whole thing is good to go! Dunno how I'm going to pull off the VTOL quite yet, but I think the main engine intakes are working pretty well in the simulations I run.
