I'm having more fun working on this project than I have on anything in a long time. It's the first comic where I'm tailoring the artwork to a pre-written dialog in the form of this poem, instead of working the dialog around the available artwork. I'm pretty pleased with how the doggies are looking on the pages. Normally, I sort of gloss over male characters and it shows in some of my comics, but Robert's turning out to be fun to draw as well. This all makes me want to do more projects with them in the future.

Maybe you enjoy it because of it challenging you in a different way. I mean, here you have a two characters that are rather undeveloped. On top of that, Jessica is not the sharpest tool in the shed. I know that I still look at her and say 'Poona the Fuckdog!" because of how undeveloped she is in Better Days.
The style of coloration and linework is very nice and sure am curious about the finished product.

You know, now that i think about it I would love to see more of her personality.
Perhaps even more depth to her character (ok, i understand she is a little shallow herself) using perhaps different perspectives to highlight her in different ways.
Or at least if i were to write a story about her thats the way i would do it.

Wow, this is looking very impressive! I'm looking forward to this one since I've always wanted to see more of Jessica. The writing seems to be tight; it's going to be interesting to see how the poem structure will flow with your usual work. I'd say rather well if this is any indication.
Have you ever written much poetry or prose in the past? It always seems like such a daunting prospect to me. Though the OFTEN times I had to study it under my major made me appreciate it a great deal more than I used to.

A friend of mine brought up an interesting point. It seems that a lot of the comics and drawings you tend to do have a lot of pain involved in them. Divorce, betrayal, cheating, breaking up and so forth. Your artwork is truly some of the best out there for furry but perhaps your storyline could tend to steer just a little bit more towards happy couples who get together and stay together. That's just my own personal thoughts. Love the work all the same.
Reminds me alot of the special full page things Bill Watterson would do with Calvin And Hobbes when he was having the illustrations of all this chaos and mayhem while the poem was all flowery and lyrical. I have had teachers like this, heck, we all have. Ahh mamori.... I mean Memories.
Jessica was Fisk's second crush in Better Days. Even the first time I ever saw her, I thought she was a bit clueless. Of course, the fact that her tongue was always hanging out might have had something to do with that. I also liked when she was explaining how she got pregnant near the end of Better Days. I laughed for a while over that one.
