The kill had been hard won and the older greypelt was not willing to give it up so easily. Normally, their People settled their differences over such matters with posturing---fangs gleaming with threats rather than promise, coats bristling in warning, legs stiffened into to the ground with potential energy.
Neither female seemed to care for that sort of diplomatic resolution however. It had been the younger wolf's suggestion that they fight for it and for rights to the small braided river whose bank their feet paced, and the elder wolfess had flashed her perfect rapid-fire grin in affirmation.
As current ran over current cool beneath their paws, they twisted about in the night sky. A dance as beautiful as it was deadly. Experience met stubbornness, skill met youth, and neither looked like an obvious loser.
Tonight's kill would be hard earned indeed.
Finished commission for cobra175 of his character, Luka, having a territorial dispute with my main character, Wielder.
Done with copic markers, micron inks, india in, colored pencil, brush pen, and white gel pen on bristol board.

Heck, this is moe powerful and tense with the messy, disturbing gore and blood the girls are tearing out of each other! The tiny speckles of shininess in the blood makes it look very fresh and the more disturbing, and having some of it smeared on their fangs and lips is very shocking. The night colors are very cool in sharp contrast with the heated foreground fight.
You're welcome. Also what you just said is very understandable. I can appriciate how well-depicted how terrible and disturbing violence is handled in art, books, comic books, movies ect, like in "The Plague Dogs" and "Felidae" .
Blood aside, I find it hard to decide which girl to root for and who could win. I love Wielder and am a fan of hers, but I also love Luka, too. They are both badass at fighting.

Joking aside love you can see the power behind each blow even if it is in still motion in this image, you almost year the gnashing of fangs and the snarled curses. You did an amazing job in showing the strength behind the smaller female and the fire in Wielder that will not allow herself to be thrown down. I would put all my money on Wielder in this fight.

Sometimes, you just gotta fight. For your right to party--no I'm kidding! There are a lot of things I like about this image, namely being the snarling faces. Look at those two, fierce and ready to duke it out!! I love Wielder's mouth, and the blood--I wish there was more, actually! Everyone loves a good bloody mess. I also really love how they're fighting in moonlight with a stream behind them; the coursing waters are kind of a mirror to their fury. Their paws, Luka's claws going for Wielder's throat--it's INTENSE, man!
I also love the mountains behind, and even more so the celestial bodies. They look so mystical and dreamlike, calm, while this battle on the Earth rages. What a great combination.
