Was going to save all of these and put them all into one collage, but with the 4th of July coming up tomorrow I'm trying to clear my camera off a tad. Took these a bit ago to show the foam work creation for the quad body.
Top:
Left: Lower left corner shows the card board templates, the rest shows the foam work traced.
Right: All of the pieces cut out
Middle:
Left: got all of the padding shaped. Look at that mess!
Right: Working upon the pattern.
Bottom:
Left: All taped up and ready for patterning: The chest will remain a touch shallow to allow the feathering to fill out the rest. Hip protrudes to support the back crest. Hooves are currently curing in the other room. The NFT finally arrived so I can complete the body *excite!*
Right: Concept art for the character.

They're definitely upon their own level in the costume world. For general public it's one thing to see a bipedal character, something their used to. But to see an animated quadrupedal character interacting (especially with little kids) it blows their mind. I saw a little girl around a unicorn quad one time. It was just like her dreams had come true. Her eyes lit up and she was so excited to see and touch it! I don't care what anyone says, that's just too darn cute.
They're actually quite comfortable. Most of your weight is upon the front stilts so my back is fine. It's usually the weight that stops me after a while as my arms get tired from moving all of the bulk in Zero. That may be different for this guy as he's a good 30 lbs less <3
This quad really isn't any larger than a full suit. I've taken my experiences from Zero and omitted what didn't need to be there a.i. almost all of his mass hahaha. This suit, with all padding removed, is really light. The largest piece is the head and stilts (of which can be placed on a shelf and leaned against the wall)
