This is the ever classic American favorite summer time drink, Iced Tea. Its actually extremely easy and cheap to make plus it tastes just as good if not better then the store bought pre-made or powder stuff.
Note: This recipe makes 1 Gallon.
Ingredients:
Tea Bags x8 (Use Brisk, Lipton, or Nestea brand tea bags if you want to mimic the store bought stuff)
Water
Sugar
Lemon Juice
Yeah its that simple.
1) Pour in 1 Gallon of water into a pot on high heat.
2) Add 1 cup of sugar to the water. You can add more if you like it sweet. Personally I end up putting in 1 1/4 cup of sugar. Boil the water and stir the sugar around until it dissolves.
3) Take the water off the heat once boiled and add 8 tea bags to seep. Let them seep for about 2 hours.
4) Once the tea is done seeping remove the tea bags then stir in 1 cup of lemon juice.
5) Pour into a 1 gallon container and put in the fridge until cold.
As you can tell it does take a while to make this so I tend to make at night a few hours before bed time so its ready its ready the next day, but its worth it. Plus like I said its relatively cheap to make compared to what you will buy in the store. For roughly $11 - $13 in supplies (100 tea bag box, 2lb bag of sugar, and 4 bottles lemon juice) you will be able to make about 16 gallons of iced tea. Enjoy!

The way we do it back home is to put the teabags in a 1 gallon pickle jar (clean!) of water, and then seal the jar and set it outside in direct summer sunlight for a few hours. When the tea is dark.. nearly black, its done. It will be quite hot too, so you can add 1 cup of sugar then, stir it dissolve, and then put it in the refrigerator.
