Continuing from last night, another set of doodles based on Colleen Houck's Tiger's Curse.
The woman depicted is Kelsey Hayes; the heroine of the story. She takes a summer job with a circus (as seen in the far right doodle) is later asked to escort the circus's white tiger to its native home in India only to learn the tiger is an Indian prince (Dhiren).
As the story progresses, we learn Kelsey is an avatar for the Hindu Goddess, Durga and to help Ren get his human form back permanently, she must search for four treasures for Durga (hence the hiking attire she's depicred in in the middle).
There is also the added complexity of her trying to stay just good friends with Ren out of the fear of getting heart broken, yet Ren is persistent (as seen in the far left doodle).
When coming up with a rough draft design for Kelsey, going off the book's description, I was reminded of Makota (Lita) AKA Sailor Jupiter.
One more series of doodles to go.
