I'm still insist I'm not a Brony, but being a cartoonist I cannot devest myself of iconism... and the recent My Little Pony is full of it. Also, TF2 has iconism.

Twilight will be the Engi. Rather than pair the ponies with the mercenaries based on accent, I tried to go for ability.
Twilight can teleport, as well as being more knolagable about magic in general,
Spike makes for a pyro; this I think is even more relevant when we cast Rarity as a spy. (Wouldn't a tailor be good at disguises?)

Pinkie will be the Demo: the image of dozens of multi-colored stickie bombs all over the place and her yelling "Suprise!" just comes to mind.
I've decided to cast Granny Smith as the Sniper. While not one of the main characters, camping would suit her, since she wouldn't have to move around that much.
