So true, So awesome.
The Classic and jovial 4th of july. The cookouts the barbicues, the parades and genorous amounts of candy for the little ones the likes of which can almost supercede halloween. The evenings fireworks in our small town behind the school across from the large old gravel parking lot where every year they manage to have a few small rides setup in. as well as kind police officers directing traffic and the dozens of road flares glowing a brilliant white orangish red almost marking the occasion themselves. the sun slowly sets as the anticipation builds. Then you see one small fire work and you hear the words they are saying by the explosion of the small firework "be patient so much more is on its way!" moments later the joyous crowds eating their buttered & salted corn on the cob stop in awe as they lookup at a brilliant large white explosion easily a hundred feet wide whose trails that ends in a second explosion of brilliant green.
The fail part that seems like a great idea when your little:
The same day that the night before shade had the briliant idea when little that he could snatch a spot in the parade by strapping a bunch of 12v lead acid batteries florescent light, a nice clip-on fan becuase its hot out and he'd like to pimp a little style on his bicycle, 2 foot florescent light. then forget about it and goto the parade and decide ya want to bike to your friends house at 11 pm at night and your mother says ya need a helmet and a bike light. To which after an hour of searching for your shiney dark purple & blue helmet its not found but instead a 70's gold glitter motor cycle helmet is all that is found. You are then decidedly off to your friends house some 7 miles away. When getting there your friend is like holy shit and has to take a picture of this amalgamation of utter sillyness. willing to pay ransom for this picture just to post it if it can ever be found ^^
Wishing you and all a joyous eventful and exciting fourth of July as i'm sure we have all worked very hard in school and work and might appreciate some nice shiny explosions and dozens of brilliant orange road flares!!
