i wish i could just say, "she is finished", and that be all. but, i know this is not how things work.
the actual image is ; 6635x5850
unfortunate, fa only does allow 1280x1280 as maximum.
when i was just finish ink, hachiko [1] did propose idea, which i did use in this image. ziptone.
there are no solid colour in image.
every part of this image[2] is made with only two colour. black and white.
all colouring was made with various size black or white dots. only the dots in the the sky [and focus lines] have had opacity adjusted. if not, were too dominant.
this has taught me one thing.
i still enjoy cel-shading type work. it is much more natural for me.
i would like to do more work in this style.
in scraps i was asked about why she is hold her weapon in an odd manner. i did not realize people would consider it odd. in most soft, and some hard, styles, it is common to hold the blade with the two fingers extended. this is complicated to explain here, but short version, it does help with direction of chi flow.
i did choose to illustrate with that technique.
also, xing is her name. in chinese, it translates to star.
