Here you can a typical Sz'sirona, an alien from a planet about 80 lightyears away from Earth, in the star constellation chameleon. ^^
These are the aliens that appear in my second story series 'The Tourist guide', which can be found here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6353157
As you can see, he doesn't wear that much, only some small trousers to keep the sand out of his genital slit. They don't wear that much clothing since half of their planet is covered in desert. And the sash is not to indicate his rank or something, it is just for decoration, nothing more.

Haha, they would never eat you. They are barely able to fight somebody else, first because of their peacefull culture and second because they are from a planet with less gravity than Earth, so the are not as strong as a human and just about the size of a young teenager, like 13-14 years old.
