For father's day, and made to go with my mother's gold finch. I've wanted to make my dad a house sparrow for a long time, but was always too intimidated by all the colours and how intricate their patterning was. I'm thrilled to death to finally have been able to bite the bullet and make one. I think they're some of the prettiest of birds out there, but they aren't brightly colourful, and I've found most people never notice how beautiful they really are.
