Yeah, I see em eye brows raising... c'mon this would have freak'in rocked!
Inspired by a story I read years and years ago, thought I'd mess around with it for a bit and see what I could produce. Was fun for awhile did a pile of character art and even about three pages (which you'll see soon enough) Just another oldy... enjoy!

I've read all (or almost all) the publications on ALIENS that I can find. The Dark Horse novels are particularly informative.
Plus I studied the costumes and creature designs religiously. GOD BLESS H.R. GIGER!!!
Their goo, particularly royal jelly, is considered quite amazing or interesting stuff based on the books.
And I think your hagfish comparison is quite apropo, though I wonder if it's accurate...I'll have to think on that.

I've read a lot of the Dark Horse stuff, although not all of it. Most of what I know about Alien physiology is derived from the appendix at the back of the Colonial Marines Technical Manual.
I do remember the goo having some interesting pharmaceutical applications. ^^

See I'm not familiar with that, is that a book?
I said almost because i've apparently been out of the loop lately, 3 Dark Horse books were published recently that I knew NOTHING about and still need to read.
But I plan on writing an ALIENS novel myself one day.
The goo itself has no know medicinal value or effects of any kind (see ALIENS Alien Harvest) but once it's been processed and mixed with some chemicals it can produce halucinagenic and mind-altering effects in human users. Also known as "Xeno-zip".

Yeah, it's a book. Most of it is given over to discussing the equipment and tactics used by the USCM, but there's an appendix at the back that's a transcript of some Weyland-Yutani boffins discussing Alien physiology, although a lot of it is theoretical. For example, they forward the theory that the Aliens biology is based on fluro-carbons, making them both highly acidic and rather vulnerable to fire.
Couldn't they mix up a synthetic version of royal jelly using the regular goo and artificial hormones? And that stuff sort of had an unfortunate tendency to drive people uber-berserk, right?
