Guys, I'm insanely proud of this one. >u< This is my half of a trade with one of my favorite artists here on FA,
, whose art I've drooled over admired for several years, ever since my DA days. I've always loved her style, from the way she handles knotwork to the gorgeous colors she uses in her works, and I pretty much had a fangirl attack when I saw she had faved some of my stuff. lol
Since she liked my art and I liked hers, it seemed a trade was imminent, so we agreed to do one, and this is what I came up with. :3 Swandog really liked the piece I did for Horsefeather of Talvi and Feather representing the transition from Winter to Spring, and wanted something similar done with a Moon/Sun theme. She already had a moon spirit character, her luna moth/deer hybrid Luna, so I needed to make myself a sun character to be her counterpart. Thats why I designed Anor, my tabby tiger/phoenix hybrid.
The two of them meet now, during that magical time when the sun and moon dance together in the sky at dawn and twilight, to dance briefly themselves before each returns to their celestial home, either to sleep or keep watch over the heavens.
I definately plan to get a print of this for my own wall before I send it off. It is currently my desktop background. lol

This is incredibly pretty, you have a right to be proud of it! Both for the picture itself but for the way you handled the colours, and how you have successfully made a character that even matches Luna for beauty- she's a character I've admired for a long time, too. :)
D: Oooomg, this came out so amazingly beautiful; I LOVE it!!! ;_; The parts of it I saw on the livestream totally did not do this justice!! O_O The colors and light are simply bursting out of this...it's all so fresh, vivid, and full of movement and life, I can't stop staring at it, and just want to leap right into the picture!! 8D Thank you sooooo very much for doing this, and you should indeed be proud of it!! Thanks also for the incredibly sweet comments; I've felt the same about your wonderful art and style ever since I first laid eyes it!! Aww I'm really glad you like it as much as I do. ^u^ I cant quit looking at it either, and thats saying a lot cuz usually when I'm done with something I'm sick of staring at it. lol I'm going to have a print of this made so I can hang it up here as well, before I send it on its way. Here's to *hopefully* more trades in the future! <3
Oh my. This is absolutely stunning. I love the fluid feel of this picture. You can really feel the two of them dancing, just by looking at it, from the flow of their hair and their clothes to just the overall feel of the piece. Which, again, I wish I were more informed about art so I could put things better than that! Your art always leaves me speechless. Anyway. I love the girl's dress and the design on her wings, especially the eye spots, as well as her slender, willowy appearance when compared to her more powerful partner's. It really adds such a lovely touch of elegance to the picture, I think. More than that, I love the wonderfully mythological feel you've given this, as I'm sure you know, by now, how much I admire your work that touches on mythology and epic stories. I don't blame you for wanting to put this up on your wall. I'd do exactly the same, if I were you.
