I did design the first one but had Arend Studios make it. I was going more for a cute mascot look back then. I really like how my V2 came out because it is VERY comfortable to wear (1/3 lighter than V1) with excellent vision. I also think you are correct that with a less goofy/playful expression, he works well in many more photos.
