Rough Colored Sketch Commission for 
jktstance
So here is a really interesting commission that I was asked to do. Jkstance wanted to commission me for a piece with lots of artistic freedom, and ended up suggesting a Huskie/Bernese Mountain Dog/panther mix as an offhand option. I thought that sounded like a fun challenge, and so after some doodling I came up with this!
I feel like I gave him just the right mix of everything; the coat color is mainly BMD, which the ears and face markings are huskie. I shortened the guy's snout to be more cat-like (but kept the typical dog nose) and then gave him a long panther-like tail with a bit of dog hair fluff at the end. :) Since black panthers still have spots even though their coat is black (check out this cool picture here to see what I mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:B.....ck_leopard.JPG) I decided to give him some faint spots on the black of his coat as well. All in all, I think this was a success! Let me know what you guys think about him. He looks quite happy. ^.^
