From my current RPG - detected coming off of the Nest Ship, Isunteel.

The Itef are small (40kg) psionic insectoid beings that have a partial hive mind. They are sentient individually, but fairly handicapped mentally until three or more gather in a group. Queens may carry millenia of shared experiences, passed on from generation to generation, accessible to any member of that Queens particular grouping (Tribe/Family/Essence - translations are still unrefined at this point). The only Itef encountered before those met at Miguel's Star were primitive, Tech Level 0, and traumatized by starvation and ancient racial memories of mass sentient consumption (psychic and physical) by the Triumvirate's masters - the massive Houmi.

Ezota appear to have had a close rapport with the Ancients - Tech 21+ Droyne AI Servitors serve openly aboard the nest ship (detected within the initial psionic contact/backlash).
