'Silly mammals, always checking my out...'
OH OH OH!
See here, we coped Bell today. Her beak is now shorter and less in the way, no more clicking!
Technically, it was my first time ever coping a bird... >.>

Bell never held grudges, and she was really good with it. Many birds are not so keen on the process, and are quite grumpy for a while, though Ive never seen one hold a grudge over the coping. More like they pouted or glared at you for a few hours, or the rest of the day.
I could not speak to that, sorry. I would say it is more about each bird having a different personality rather than a difference in species. Not to mention how well you manage the process. If you agitate the bird too much and press too far or hard, they may be more likely to remember it. Many falconers also do this coping with their bird hooded, though. But I am not the greatest authority on this, so my experience is certainly not the most conclusive answer.
