Region Lichtson is my Dragonborn character for DnD.
"My name is Regin Lichtson. It isn’t my given name, but given the current circumstances that I find myself in I cannot help but think it would be wise to use an alias. I am dragonborn. According to an old Russian Occultist I have always been dragonborn; it was something of my nature locked away until that fateful day in the July of Two-Thousand Twelve.
Before that time I had been an anthropologist who studied what was the most fascinating creature on the planet, Homo sapiens. Then the world changed, something was discovered in the depths of the planet and it was unwittingly released. The only detail from my memory that stands out is the wave of brilliantly blue light that cascaded around me and pulled me into unconsciousness.
My waking mind must have eluded me for days, for upon waking the world I knew no longer existed. Destruction greeted me with every look I took. Even the familiar faces of those I cared about were altered; I too had been altered. The skinny, average height man I knew myself to be was gone and in his stead was a tall, imposing, and built Dragonborn. No longer was I human with soft skin and messy hair, but a being with rough russet scales covering my form and solid horns protruding from my head and down my spine. My face was distended into a snout filled with razor teeth, my eyes were no longer round but slited with a yellowish hue. My hands were altered with black claws protruding from my three instead of four fingers. In form I hardly recognized myself.
Even more so, powers pulled from the very blood of my being, of my kind, began to manifest. Fire I could spew onto my enemies, for those were far too common in this new realm. Great strength I could amass from my muscles and bones with which to strike them down. Even my voice, with its deep booming qualities, could be used to cast them aside.
In the blink of an eye, the world changed, and I cannot say if it will be for better or worse in the grand scheme of things, but for me personally I have grown to accept these changes as being a part of who I am. For though in form I may now be Dragonborn, I have always been Dragonborn at heart."
