Inner-Selves, No. 18, Part B

Speckle and his team headed back up to the main floor, they were met by a puma and a gorilla, each bearing both a puzzled look on their face and a strange invitation in their hands. "Um... hello, are we in the right place? This invitation I got has your address on it..." Sophie asked. "I got one of those too, what's this about? I don't think I've ever met you before" Macho added. "Oh those! You arrived sooner than I expected, yes you're in the right place" Speckle replied. He asked them to have a seat at the table and he offered them some tea, he didn't think milk from a baby bottle was really their thing. "I suppose I should introduce myself and my associates, this is Graham, Scratch, and Fluff" he said pointing to each team member in succession, "as for me, I'm Speckle, but our friend Fidget seems rather fond of calling me Hat n' Flops, hmm, I suppose it's a fitting nickname for me." "Wait, you know Fidget? He's never talked about you before" Sophie said. "I havn't known him very long, so that's the most likely reason, but let's get down to business, I suppose you're wondering why I asked you to come here" Speckle stated.
Over the next few hours, Speckle explained everything to them. He told them why Kat was gone, what kind of powers Fidget possessed, how those powers affected them, and he told them all about the Eternity Care Center and briefly told them what Fidget was planning to do. Speckle also answered any questions they had, after he was done talking, Sophie got up. "If Fidget is going to rescue Kat, then I wanna go too, Fidget is my friend and so is Kat!" Sophie said. "I feel the same way, I have a lot of strength to offer, let me go too" Macho piped up. "I had a feeling you'd say that, but I should tell you that this mission Fidget is going on will be very dangerous, there's a possibility that some of you won't come back alive, and I know that Fidget will feel uneasy if his friends are in danger at any particular moment" Speckle said. "Despite that Fidget can't do it alone, there's strength in numbers after all, if we join him, he's almost guaranteed to succeed" Sophie replied. "You're certain you wanna do this?" Speckle asked them both. Sophie and Macho nodded, they wanted to help Fidget in any way they could. Speckle smiled, this had worked out smoothly. "Alright then, it's settled, you'll accompany Fidget on his mission to rescue Kat, but your powers are new to you, using them in a desperate situation is one thing, but you don't know how to use them at will, which is why I'll have to ask you to complete some training over the next few days, as we speak, Fidget is doing some training of his own, he's training very hard, so I can't let you see him just yet" Speckle said.
"Will you be training us Speckle?" Macho asked. "Unfortunately, no, I'm busy helping Fidget with his training, but I do have an instructor for you" Speckle started to say, "Daisy, will you come in here please?" A door opened slowly from one of the back rooms, the teddy bear with the flower on her ear walked in, Sophie and Macho were surprised, Macho more-so. "Oh, she's so cute!" Sophie exclaimed. She ran over to the teddy bear and picked her up, hugging her in her arms. "Ack, I can't breathe!" the teddy bear complained. "Oh, sorry!" Sophie apologized, putting the teddy down. "It talks, seriously?!" Macho said, feeling completely freaked out. "Daisy, these are the two furs with the mysterious powers I told you about, I want you to train them to use those powers at will" Speckle said to the teddy. "I'll do my best Speckle" Daisy said. "I expect nothing less from ya" Speckle replied. "It walks, and it talks..." Macho said, still freaked out.
Daisy led Sophie and Macho to a back room and hopped up on top of a crate so she could talk to them closer to eye level. "Alright you two, If you wanna help your friend, then you'll have to do exactly as I say, got it?" Daisy said. "Uh huh" Sophie replied. "Sure, why not?" Macho said, unsure if he could take the toy seriously. "First of all, I want you two to think long and hard about what you were doing when you first used your powers, remembering how you accessed them will help you learn how to use them at any time" the teddy bear said. Sophie thought back to the day she saved Flopsie and those other students from that spirit eater. She remembered wanting nothing more than to protect her best friend. While she was thinking about that, there was a burst of light, and Sophie transformed into her baby form, wearing nothing but her teddy bear diaper and pink shirt, but there was something different this time. Slung across her shoulder was a small diaper bag, and it was moving. She cautiously opened it and her stuffed animal friends emerged. "Hi Sophie, do you need our help?" Rolo the puppy asked. "Um, not really, I was just thinking about the first time I summoned you, I'm training to go help Fidget with his mission" Sophie replied. "Awww, that's no fun, I was hoping I could do some fighting" Lenny the monkey whined. "Well Sophie, now you know what to do, all you have to do is think about helping your friends!" Trix the mouse chimed in. "Ok, thanks everyone!" Sophie said. "No problem!" Rolo replied. After that, they disappeared in a beam of light, and Sophie returned to her normal self. "Wow, Sophie that's amazing" Macho said, sounding as enthusiastic as possible. "Well done Sophie! Ok Macho, you try" Daisy said.
"Umm..." Macho said, starting to think. He remembered that he was trying to save Fidget's brother Twitch that day. Unfortunately he couldn't really remember much else beyond that, not even what Twitch looked like. So he tried to picture a smaller version of Fidget, and then tried to summon his power, nothing happened. "Uh...I guess I don't remember what happened that day..." Macho said. "Ugh....we've got a long way to go" Daisy sighed.
Elsewhere, Seth was walking through a remote area of the park, carrying some camping supplies and a mysterious box. After he set up camp, he kneeled down and opened the box, inside it was what appeared to be a rubber bracelet like you wear around your arm. Written on it was the words: ADVANCED LEVEL TRAINEE. He thought back to what his brother had told him about this braclet. "This bracelet will grant the trainee that wears it a substantial increase in power Seth, but only if that trainee can complete its trial" he remembered his brother saying. "I couldn't defeat a youth sprite brother, and because of that an innocent spirit is on the verge of death, I need this power, it's the only way I'll be able to redeem myself" Seth said, talking as if his brother were right by his side. He touched his super soaker - which he also brought with him - to his chest, and then he put the bracelet on his wrist. He raised his super soaker and aimed it at the clearing between some trees. "All I have to do is keep firing for 7 days and 7 nights, then the bracelet will change from yellow to green, indicating that I've passed its trial and earned the right to weild its power" Seth thought to himself. With that said, he fired his first of many shots.
