so much fun to make! >//w//<
Onigiri:
(to boil rice, add 1 cup of water for every 1 cup of rice. i used 2 cups)
x cups water
x cups short/medium-grain rice (long-grain doesn't work)
1 sheet of Nori
-in a rice cooker, rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
-drain, and add water according to how many cups rice you used.
-set the cooker until done
-let the rice sit for 10 minutes
-cut the Nori into 4 equal strips
-(rice will still be hot) wet your hands (don't dry them), and scoop out one cup of the rice and put in a bowl. start with a little in your hands and mold (like a snow ball). (the rice will absorb the water on your hands, so wet them every so often).
-(if desired) while molding, place your choice of filling in the center of the ball.
-place the ball on one of the strips, and wrap the ball.
-repeat the last 3 steps, and serve.

It's a good idea to also add a careful amount of rice vinegar. I actually make a mix of rice vengar and sugar, heated up, and stirred in carefully while the rice is freshly hot with a flat rice-paddle. It makes really sweet, sticky rice! Be careful with the sugar, though. Just a bit!
