This is a tentacular tasty treat from the kitchens of
wambamsam
A pic of my adventure with octopus fra diavolo. made with a block of frozen octopus I got at the asian grocery store. I don't really remember the exact recipe, but I'll give it to you the best I can. It turned out pretty well, but I've learned new tricks since then. Fun fact: the yellow thing on the edge of some of the pictures is also a Wambamsam original. It's a spoon rest I made a long time ago.
Ingredients
1 LB frozen baby octopus. (weight will decrease from defrosting and cooking)
1 cup of marinara sauce.
1/2 tablespoon of chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce
3 cloves of chopped garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb of pasta (I used plain spaghetti but you could use any pasta.)
Method
Start by defrosting the frozen octopus in a bag in the refrigerator
coat a pan with olive oil and when it's hot enough start sauteing the defrosted octopus
Add garlic when the octopus starts to firm up.
when the garlic starts to soften add the marinara sauce.
once the marinara starts to come to a boil add the chilli powder tobasco sauce and paprika.
serve over pasta.
