Given to me by the commander of the 437th airlift wing on JB Charleston. I got it for helping get three U-30s back in service so that the flight line would not shut down. thus preventing the mission from getting done. this is the back

Please pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is this coin? Is this more or less a medal that the military hands out to folks who perform above and beyond the call of duty? Does this coin also get you an additional ribbon to wear on your uniform?
You seem like a guy who is really motivated and hardworking, and it does not surprise me at all that you are doing so well in the military. Who knows, maybe you will be an officer in no time, isn't it?
