A moment of peace and reflection. Somewhere distant and far away for two who've gone through far too much. Lost too much. They have both been through so much, Dema certainly so.

This piece... comes at no distinct point in her journey. Perhaps it occurs long before the fall, or perhaps somewhere in the middle of Dema's journey to grow and regain her fallen Kingdom. Perhaps in a dream. A ghost of a beautiful memory. To hold onto such memories is the driving force, to keep one going in times of such difficulty.

With all the pain, suffering and grief they have gone through, they are bound to reach a limit... there's only so much one can take before blanking out. so to prevent that from happening, kayin and dema have slipped into a more peaceful realm, to a place where they can rest, relax, and enjoy being together, before the cruel fate foretold, but partly defied, by the prophecy, tears them apart once more, returning dema to continue her journey and kayin is forced back into another realm, but always watching over and guiding her.

I want to write something beautiful for this moment. I am not sure yet where it will go, but once I find that perfect thought I have no doubt it will flow freely! Thank you to  svarta-perlan for all the inspiration! This was such a wonderful piece that she got for us. Her friendship means the world over to me.

And a huge shout out as well to  daggerleonelli for the amazing work. I mean, absolutely everything about this piece! The color, the pose and the framing. With such a great depth of detail to say nothing of the amount of work and effort put into this. It's perfect. I can only hope for more in the future! An absolute joy to work with.
