Species: Ruruzai

Ruruzai is an uncommon species known being tough and rugged, good in battle, and owning a set of basic forms, human, 'were' , and feral and 'monster'. Most commonly seen as an odd looking canine with scales(or feathers) here and there, horns, and even lizard tails. This species has been shown with the reverse as well, some sort of lizard-like animal with fur in patches around it's body,and canine-like features. The former is called Zan-Ruruzai, the latter is Yan-Ruruzai

A trait that is seen almost universally is at least one tendril forming at the back of the head. Usually there is only one, but there can be up to five, sometimes more may appear on other parts of the body as well, these areas are the shoulders, the tail, down the back,and the elbows, the ones at these locations can number up to two to ten, and are typically paired. These tendrils catch the air, as well as aura/chi around the Ruruzai, and makes sneaking up on one difficult. These tentacles can be manipulated to be like spears,or become thicker and blunter around any part of it, they are also tipped with scales. The flat version of the tendril gives the most area for detection around the animal. These tentacles ,especially when flat and ribbon-like, help expel heat.



Ruruzai are also known for their ability to breed,one could say they were 'made' for this purpose. They can bear offspring of almost all other species , with a shortened gestation period, without any of their traits being intermingled with them. This has lead to a decline in the amount of Ruruzai, as they are often captured and enslaved, and forced to help breed armies,or 'pets', and even for food. Males of this species are rare, and often killed in infancy, as unlike the females, if they breed, their genes carry on and do not make a 'pure' baby. Both sexes can be promiscuous , or defiant about sex,depending on the individual, those defiant obviously don't want to be Breeders, and those who willingly go out of their way for it, do so, so that they aren't forced, and try their hardest to get it over with and enjoy it. Oddly enough, Ruruzai can chose to be seeded by males or not, and when to, during and after copulation, thus those who use them to raise the number of other species, have to inject them with a hormone to force them to conceive.

The babies that Ruruzai have, are often much smaller than the ones that would have been born to the other species' natural parents, and are often consumed by the female that had it, unless muzzled during/after birth.

Ruruzai emit pheromones almost constantly (due to genetic tampering) to help other sapient and non-sapient species decide to enter coitus with the Ruruzai. This is often a light, sweet scent.
Breeders are called Jen, and non-breeders(free) ones call themselves Mul. Ones that have never entered coitus usually have much smaller horns on their head, or have none at all, these ones are called Mjanne.


Forms:

The human form can be split into two versions. One is one that looks just like a human, save for the tendril and maybe the ears and tail sticking out. The other version is a humanoid version of her feral , mostly an 'anthro'.

Feral forms come in two sets stated above, the Zan-Ruruzai and the Yan-Ruruzai, sometimes a Ruruzai can switch between both. Most Ruruzai prefer their feral forms over anything else, due to being the easiest to fight with , fastest, and easiest to go from neutral to offensive.

The 'were' form is a larger humanoid version of the feral, with more muscle. Generally slower, this form is less manueverable and often either a last resort, or one used to scare away enemies. Were formed ruruzai are almost entirely bipedal,but may gain a quadrupedal gait,and stance.

The 'Monster' form is exactly how it is titled. The monster form is large, often 20-30 feet long. They can be bipedal or quadrupedal and have no problem with doing either. These are slow 'tanks' and are rarely seen.
