A fast doodle of a typical Maus side arm. The projectile is base on south american aboriginal blowgun darts. It has an oiled leather ring to allow a good seal. The pistol is powered by a brass orb with a pin-and-ball seal, and a Martini-action breech design. In general performance it is the equivalent of a .22 Short. Their longarms can do more. They are smoothbores, as rifling or sabots have not been rediscovered.

They charge the brass spheres with a handpump at their secret boltholes and then carry them about with them. This was to allow a greater rate of fire (to slow up and stop mountain lion and bobcat) but also to keep the uma from using them after their inital charge ran out.
