This was a fun commission. I don't draw super serious ponies all that often but this required it. He's a really gorgeous character. ^^ I just wish I coulda shaded his scales the way I wanted to instead of taking a shortcut ^^;. I like his armor on the reference pic I was given, but it was rough to translate the thickness on that pic to this one. I still think it turned out okay. x3
Anyways he is a kirin pony. They have a silver horn on their heads as well as scales over most of their body. Most of that is covered atm thanks to his breastplate. He is also a warrior and you can see some of his battle scars as well.
Overall just a fun pic, yay more lightning XD
