Lop Eared the Swift and Freedom Fighter Garrison Fox the first were preparing for a sneak attack when they decided to shoot the breeze for just a moment.
"I do say! The blade is more effective if you hold it in reverse like so!". Exclaimed the rabbit. "Not exactly my kind friend! If held in that fashion you lack the proper striking distance!", Retaliates the fox. "but you in this position you will be able to defend and parry! Not to mention the stabbing force is increased!",Scoffs the rabbit. "Oh but you lack slashing damage! Which is the best method for attacking in my honest opinion!" Rebuttals the fox. "Dine from betwixt my anus!" shouts the rabbit.

If you block then strike they'll have just as much time to recover from the block and strike or parry themselves. Especially sense you have to take a whole extra step to come within striking distance. Not to mention blocking with that kind of grip hardly gives you any leverage and doesn't make use of the cross-guard leaving you hand unprotected, so you block will do little more than deflect an attack, much less stop one.
