Fenris the Boater
Another of Fenris's pastimes: Boating! :D
This image took FOREVER to happen, due mostly in part to how long it took me to butter up my father into letting it happen. x3 The lighting is poor, as we were late getting on the water, and the sun was almost set by the time I got in the water with my camera. x3 We got the boat close to shore on an island just outside the channel, and I waded in with my waterproof camera and shot a few photos, this one turning out the best of the bunch. We'll eventually try this again in full sun, and it will turn out much better! I deflated Fenris's legs after the shoot, and sat on him all the way back to port, while my father piloted the boat at cruising speed. Totally awesome ride, and you should have seen the faces on the other mariners. x3
A little bit about the boat: 'Retreat' is a 1986 Viking 35-foot convertible sportfishing vessel. We are her third owners, and we've had her since 1993. She's powered by twin Caterpillar 3208 300 horsepower turbocharged and intercooled V8 diesel engines, and with a clean bottom and low weight, has a top speed of about 30 miles per hour. :3
Shot on the Intracoastal Waterway between Vero Beach and Fort Pierce, Florida.

The ones I've bid on were 6v92, mostly the GMC classic style bus. My city really has some out of date stuff in their fleet, they have a couple from the 60s still in use, one with a 2 speed trans. They at least have all had power steering upgrades since 2000
Sadly the scrap metal guys seem to get them to chop up for aluminum and steel. Always outbid me by a fair bit.

Those Vikings are great boats... there are quite a few of them out here on Texas lakes, however, they're obviously not realizing their full potential (most just drive them out to the middle of the lake and party on them). I'll bet that was a fun ride with the boat rocking and bobbing and whatnot... cool pic!
Awesome, another person that appreciates the vessels from New Gretna! ^^ Lake life may not be quite as entertaining for a Viking, but all boats love fresh water because it's not corrosive. x3 And yes, the ride was great! I couldn't help but enjoy the rocking motions ^^;
