Crappy cell pic but we're proud of his training so far.

That's me on the left, the cute one is Oberon a Barred Owl.
He's a permanent resident, he was found in Nebraska with a broken wing which did not heal correctly and he lost his ability to fly.
We got called asking if we needed one for education, we of course couldn't say no to that face.
He took the long trip to Colorado and we've been training and spoiling him since. He's a pretty cool bird, very wild and makes it obvious he is only CHOOSING to allow us to handle him.
It feels good to have earned his respect.
