Mortal Jincilla have their standard dark grey and white markings. Period. However, the gods of the Jincilla pantheon usually have the colors and markings of different bird species because the Jincilla mistakingly believe that they evolved from avians. Jincilla are not birds or gryphons, but instead evolved from dromaeosaurs.

Faved 'cause I really like it when someone puts a lot of thought into a character. I also dig blacksmith scenes. At first I was concerned that the Weapons Smith was handling the heated sword without gloves or apron, then I realized the character was dragon like and a "God" at that. Handling metals at 25,000 Degrees F. and the resulting showers of sparks would be a "Piece of cake" for him.

Well, maybe not 25 000 degrees, but 2500 degrees. Steel melts around 2800 degrees.
It is possible to hold hot steel fairly close to the heat without singeing oneself.
If this were a normal mortal smith, he would be wise to wear the apron and gloves to keep his flammable fur and feathers from bursting into flames.
