When I'm doing freewriting to get a story to come together it actually helps a lot to draw out scenes that happen in my head; it might not end up anywhere near the actual story, but it helps create new details and let me mull over old ones until they create sparks for new ideas

I really liked your other story...While it started with the traditional "snakes are evil bastards" and had seemingly pretty broken characters with the whole nigh-invulnerability, their logical weakness and how you actually revealed the snakes to not be as bad as they look...I loved it. And even moreso, I love how it's up to the reader who to trust in the end. I'll be hoping the snakes are the side to be on in the end when this is written out!
