10 Years of Marys

I was recently provided with over 400 of my old images which I thought had long been lost... and realized that I have been posting art online for 10 years now!

Here's a brief overview of my character, Mary Mouse, as she's evolved in personality and looks over the past decade.

I was 18 when I started posting art, I'm 28 now. Time goes by fast...

Damn, that's quite a bit of improvement there. I'm curious to know if you've had those moments where you look at old art and say: I can't believe I did that shit. Or: How did I do that? I gotta practice that more often!

Awesome! I love seeing character progressions like that. What made you drop the mousy teeth after so long? I think was a good call in the long run, but just curious. Hehe.

I'm not exactly sure why I dropped the teeth initially, but as for the way I draw her teeth now (sometimes having little fangs) there's kind of a reason for that which will be revealed in my comic. :)

Oh, that's awesome - it's always great to see the development of one's style over time. Congrats on ten years - it does sneak up on you. I was reading some of my old stories a while back and realized I had been posting them for ten years. Scary, really. =)

Prety cool, I also note that your coloring has improved as well, Your current style is a nice improvment over the early stuff she kinda looks like she has buck teeth (a little)

What a neat series of images. I don't think I've seen anyone except a certain "You Know Who..." from Burbank follow the progressions of their personal Mouse character so closely. (Personally, I like the two images on the top right hand side as they seem to be relating to one another.)

I was facinated with this. I just kept looking, heheh. i'm wondering, is the little tuft of hair at the base of her tail still there? i know that's an odd question, but it just caught my eye for some reason.

This is awesome, -just endlessly entertaining to see the way things change as time goes by and the same character gets pushed in different directions based on increased skill and a revision to the stories you want to tell.
