Once upon a time,  kazera-emberhowl was known as  darkwulf787, and once upon a time, both of us were primarily active upon deviantART--back when that was a big thing in the furry world. (Ever wondered where my username comes from?) Kaz has been through a lot of tough stuff, for sure, and it was always my intention to help support her in it. We both came from a similar faith perspective, too, and both of us have shifted from it since, in our own ways.

This piece was one in which she took a lot of artistic liberties, and also focused on Terra's more historical conceptual basis. She saw me as a positive force, and one aiming to help, and distilled that notion into the piece you see here. While I've never looked at it and thought "yeah, that's totally me right there," I continue to acknowledge it for what it is: how another person has honestly seen me. And in that, it holds quite a lot of meaning.

Kaz has been somewhat distant from the furry world for a while now, and I honestly don't know much of what she's up to lately. I still wish her well, and hope for the best for her future.
