So there's a story behind this comic. This is Sherberth the SPECIAL EVENT whale.

While Zyleeth, Akhorishaan and I were on our way to summer vacation in Florida we ran across a prolonged traffic jam in the Kentucky mountains. The only information we could glean from traffic reports was that a SPECIAL EVENT was occurring somewhere up ahead and that it would conclude, oh, in about 7 months. When we got there it turns out they were working on a new bridge over the valley.

As the week went on we ran into more traffic events with no known cause. We came to know these as "special events." On a trip to Seaworld I grabbed me a stuffed orca and named it Sherberth after a road in Orlando that intersects the main drag where the traffic tends to get.... crazy. Everyone loves Sherberth. He became the mascott of our vacation.
