Yet another project I did. A version of this one was entered in the anthrocon art show 2011 but this is a different piece from the same pattern. I used good plywood for the piece I auctioned. This piece was made from a cheap piece of ply I got from lowes. It looked horrible unfinished but when I put the stain on it literally transformed! This piece is also a little different than the other in that this wood was more fragile. I broke some thin pieces and had to modify the pattern slightly to fix it.
In any case, this piece is stained with a gunstock stain and finished with polyurethane and wax. It adorns the living room wall now with a forest green background paper in its frame. At this date this is one of the most complicated pieces I've cut.
