I had selected a bunch of patterns to work on for Anthrocon 2011 and this was one of them. This time I taped three different wood pieces together to cut a trio of the same pattern. Now there are some subtle differences between them as sometimes the blade arches, so I had to alter and correct some things but I'm quite pleased with these as well.
I put the bottom piece in the anthrocon art show because it was the most flawless and had character. The top had a little ding in it because it was a very soft wood, like balsa. That one I gave to my uncle for his birthday, and the center one is on the mantel. Each is a little darker now as this picture was taken before the polyurethane finish.
Congratulations to the winner of the piece I had at anthrocon. I'm quite proud of how these three came out.
