Here's the finished fox puzzle! I used linseed oil as the finish to bring out the color and grain of the blood wood and finished it off with a coat of finishing wax.
I'm quite pleased with how this turned out. : ) I'm sure you can see in the pic. Here, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5256433 is the WIP pic to show it taken apart and it does come smoothly apart and back together. I wouldn't recommend for children as it can break but with care I'm pretty sure it's decently durable. Don't misunderstand and drop it off the counter though... It is wood, but it's a hardwood and the grain is the way it is to provide strength to the nubs.
