I posted a journal about possible adoptable ideas ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3660358/ ) and suggested an otter-owl mix.

The idea struck me as fun, so I tried it out and you can see a pic of my pencil sketch here. I used not pure owl, but adapted it so there can be a huge variety of looks. For adoptables, they'd have varying head and tail feathers, as well as limitless color options and markings.

Let me know what you guys think of it. If I go with this idea, will get a free one of these adoptables.

I also need a name idea for the species, so post your ideas for that below, and which ever i choose (or choose to modify slightly) will also get a free adoptable.
