So i wanted to try a new art style/painting style and experiment with how to do.
All this was done by mouse (not my usual mouse drawings..it was sketched all by mouse) and it wasn't easy x-x
This took me roughly around 6 to 7 hours..yikes
So yeah wanted to mimic something i've seen
do while in his streams plus try to do my own style of painting.
Instead of doing Ink,, I ended up doing
's character because i've been wanting to draw her again and she's cute =)
Might do one of Ink too soon once my hand stops cramping up..stupid mouses..
But yeah instead of uploading them individually, I want to get your guys opinion.
Which one do you like better? (say if i were to offer icon commissions or headshots/busts like these?)
A better explaniation of them:
They are all colored the same, basics and details..
the only difference is in shading color/background and effects
1. Deals with glowing objects and lighting
2. Is just the basics plus some touch ups..no funny business
3 and 4 are technically the same but i couldn't choose between wanting to shade with purple or brown
This is my first time ever attempting to do something like this..so there are some flaws but I am super proud of what i have accomplished =D

Sadly.........i love them all. I have to say the glow effect is as always, an awesome touch. Who doesn't wanna imagine themselves raving it out lol! But that said, all have something to offer for each person. The bg choices make it easier if you were offering them up for commissions so people had a few choices to choose from. Between 3 & 4 is hard but when you look at it bigger, you get a difference of depth and shading because of the different colors. The brown adds a warmer tone and makes the face seem closer and skinnier whereas the purple gives it a more girlie feeling and highlights the hair. Can you tell i spend a lot of time doing these kinds of things?? XD
Awh Mai Garsh, this was unexpected! I'm guessing this was the project you were telling me about?
Ah, as for art styles themselves, i guess each has their own pros and cons. I'd say that Michelle was a bad example for 2, since her fur sort of blends in with the white background (though that may just be my computer screen). Though that doesn't mean it wouldn't work with someone else. 1 looks really nice. You could get pretty creative with that glow-trace effect. 3 and 4 I guess could be technically considered the same style, but with different colors, and that one would probably be your go-to choice for icons and whatnot. (Personally, I think 4 worked the best with Michelle).
Overall, lovely work. I'd say once your hand stops cramping, experiment with the colors more on 3 and 4. They seem the most promising. Also, thanks for using Michelle as your model. I'm sure she appreciates it, too.
