Tumblr was doing a thing where you draw a favorite Pokemon of each type every day. I couldn't do it day-by-day, so I'm just doing them gradually.

Day 4 is Poison-type.
Nidoking is my favorite Pokemon ever! According to this Pokemon-a-day meme, you're supposed to wait for the very last day to draw your absolute favorite one, but whatever. Nidoking! AUGH.

I was going to draw him as his shiny version, which is blue, but then... didn't. I got a shiny Nidoran and promptly shat a live lobster.
He's so hard to draw, though. It took four hours to draw this picture. I... didn't take a break. I don't think my hand is supposed to hurt when I move my fingers. :|

There's a kind of big-ness that I like a lot, and a bunch of Pokemon have it, like Nidoking/queen. Namely also Blastoise, Aggron, Rhydon, Charizard, Kangaskhan, Heatmor, and (kind of) Magmar. I guess there were a lot in Gen I...
Anyway, it's being big and heavy without being awkward.

Other Poison Pokemon I like a lot are the Bulbasaur line, Gloom, Victreebel, Tentacruel, the Gastly line, the Weezing, and the Venipede line. There were a lot of really cool Poison-types in Gen I and then they kind of stopped caring about Poison. :(

Next is Ground-type.
