For my boyfriend, here's his character paintup; it's a little Lovebird gryphon-thing. He's taken to calling it a Parakit, even though it's not part-parakeet.

He's been sketching it out for a while, and this painting was actually done some time ago. Still, though, it's a good example of what I've learned from my last few paintings.

I'm finally getting the hang of color balances, though that butterfly's still a little bright for my tastes.
