This is for  sila 's birthday, which is today! Happy birthday Sila! I hope nothing like this actually happens!

Looks like Sila's leaned a bit too far forward while trying to blow out the candles and knocked over the stool she was standing on. Halp! :(

Some people are superstitious and think that talking about bad things makes them happen -- even prehistoric people drew cave paintings of things that they wanted to have happen. But I'm kind of superstitious the other way. I don't know if I really believe in it, but when I talk about bad things, they don't seem to happen, as if they know they can't take me by surprise now. Anyway, Sila and have been having one problem after another for quite a while, and I was just hoping, maybe, for one day with no disasters.

All is not lost in this scene, though. Bob's right there, and as soon as he gets over being surprised, he can put the stool back and Sila will be fine. Even if he doesn't, her feet are only about 18 inches off the floor. And nothing's happened to the cake at all -- she can still blow out the candles once she gets her footing again.

So happy birthday, Sila! And best wishes for at least one day of no bad stuff!
